Purpose/Problem

New construction structural warranties are fully transferrable for the entirety of the warranty term. The process to transfer is detailed below.

Terminology

Certificate of Warranty: The document issued by 2-10 HBW, which confirms a home's enrollment in the 2-10 HBW Warranty Program and identifies crucial details applicable to warranty, including the Warranty Booklet version, homebuilder and Warranty Term. 

Successive Homeowner Registration and Acceptance Form: A form located in the back of your warranty booklet.

Warranty Booklet: A document that identifies all coverage, terms, conditions, procedures, obligations, and rights related to the warranty that that the builder provided with a home enrolled in the 2-10 HBW New Home Warranty Program.

 

 

Process

 

  1. Complete the "Successive Homeowner Registration and Arbitration Acceptance Form" located in the back of the Warranty Book, with the new buyer information. Then, sign, and mail to the address below with a check for $20.
     
  2. If you prefer to pay by credit/debit card, please email the completed form to 210hbw@2-10.com, and then call 800.488.8844 to pay.
     
  3. Do you need a copy of the "Warranty Booklet" or "Successive Homeowner Registration and Arbitration Acceptance Form"? If yes, then please email 210hbw@2-10.com or call 800.488.8844.

Outcome

Once we've received the completed form and payment, we will amend the warranty with the new buyer's name. We will mail a new Certificate of Warranty to the property under warranty.
